People, community and friends in all their glory, colour, gender and culture within our world. Dylis the poodle and all wild and carefully farmed animals. The outdoors, my garden, music, singing, books, tv, film, podcasts, the arts, travel – especially Scotland.
I live on the Isle of Cumbrae in Millport with my poodle, garden and a sea view. 5 decades on from when I started, I still cut, colour and style hair in the centre of Glasgow and am often asked if I love hair. I don’t. I have hair skills but mainly, I love people. I love the relationship that it is possible to build in just one hour, or, over decades and including multiple generations of a family.
With this experience, I have come to know and respect ceremony as an integral part of all of our lives and as a Celebrant, I absolutely love to help you Marry, Renew your vows, Enter and Leave from this wild old world in which we live and see it as a privilege.
I’ve grown to understand the importance of celebrating significant life events in a tolerant, compassionate and understanding way that observes the unique and wonderful differences between all of us in an attempt to bring peace, calm, joy and harmony to the world we live in. Love is all around!
