I was born into an already large, working-class family where my father was a fireman, my mother a nurse and my older siblings’ teachers, where there was a strong element of, ‘service to others’. My desire to follow this lead has always stayed with me.
I began my career as a community artist working in high schools and further education, as well as countless specialist projects, drug and alcohol rehab, mental health and prison work. Although best known as the Oyster Café owner, Gina Rossi in River City, throughout the years I have appeared in almost all of Scotland's returning TV series and worked in theatre extensively.
I feel all the above has prepared me well for this stage in my life. I love the restorative power of ceremony and so appreciate the opportunity to celebrate with people the significant milestones in their life. I believe the potent energies of these can be the impetus for genuine transformation. I look forward to creating with you the best, most unique, personal and moving time, that can be held as a cherished memory for you all.
"Libby is an empathetic person who is very passionate about her role as a civil celebrant. I am grateful to have been able to witness her officiate.
She would be a great asset to any family in their time of need. I would highly recommend Libby to any of my families in the future."
- Martin Brown, Funeral Director
"Libby, thank you for a beautiful service which not only painted a perfect picture of my Mum's life , but also touched everyone who could attend.
Hearing their comments afterwards I am convinced everyone left with a beautiful image to remember and celebrate her life on this sad event."
