Celebrate People in Ayrshire

Getting married in Ayrshire is wonderful.  There are many amazing wedding venues - from stunning castles to glorious beaches, stunning hotels to barn venues.  There is a list of some our most frequently visited venues below.  They may be Ayrshire based but all of our celebrants travel across Scotland and beyond to conduct all kinds of ceremonies.

Ayrshire is the land of Robert Burns.  Of course the one we all know for a wedding poem is "My Love is like a red red rose"!  But Burns wrote a lot more than that actually and the poem "To a Mouse" really reflects Celebrate People's values of equality and respect for nature: To a Mouse    Mind you his alleged attitude to women is not maybe so honourable lol!

Celebrate People welcomes all from whatever heritage or belief background they come from.  That is the joy of this!  We are all trained as celebrants for Ayrshire and beyond.  We are open to all those who love and offer kindness and joy and some fun and romance.  We all embrace the humanist values of kindness, compassion, equality and respect.

Our celebrants are some of the most experienced and popular in Scotland and beyond. since 2003. We are all fully insured for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity, registered with Information Commissioner Office for data handling, PVG checked and participate in continuous professional development. Give any of us a call to chat!   We conduct ceremonies in many languages, especially Spanish and French.

THE CELEBRATE PEOPLE ASSURANCE

We will make sure there is a celebrant available on your date - just in case of any kind of mishap.  In 18 years this has only happened about 4 times and it has always worked out and we will make sure we make that provision going forward too - it is in our contract with you.

We stand for honesty and openness and respect for all that you want in your love and life.  We encourage you to get married in Ayrshire - the hospitality and quality is second to none.  You can get married on any of our beautiful beaches or even the standing stone garden of Celebrate People HQ on the beach at Prestwick (no charge for the use of the garden)

The most important thing is that you have the wedding that means most to you.  Your ceremony is the start of the celebrations, so we would like to support you to make the memories you will always treasure.  Set the tone of your day and indeed your married life with the values treasured by Celebrate People:  mutual respect, everyday kindness, love, empathy, and fun.

We offer you a personal ceremony.  It is key to Celebrate People's approach. You could say that we offer more than a standard humanist ceremony.  We also offer to make your ceremony a reflection of what gives your life - the two of you together - its meaning, its value and its purpose.  For some that means a simple ceremony that reflects your family, your children, your life together.  For some it means deeply existential matters like religious belief, philosophy and even your politics.  It is about what means most to you - and that is what we call spiritual care as described in the Scottish Government's paper Spiritual Care Matters

Contact any of us to ask what feels like the daftest questions!

We are celebrants who live by humanist values of kindness, compassion and love.  We love and respect that everyone has their own approach to life and love and we are happy to reflect that in your own personal ceremony.  We can give lots of ideas and guidance but all the choices are yours at the end of the day.

The legal vows for all couples say "I (name) accept you (name) in marriage". usually followed by "to be my husband/wife.  You can choose your own personal vows too and we will give you lots of choices - or make up your own.  It is important to us that ALL couples are respected and loved equally, so ALL couples same the same legal vows.

Ideas for Wedding Vows...

Simple but perfect....and there are lots more to choose from.  Ask us to see some ideas.  We share all our resources and ideas with you and can even help you to write your own!
